Hi all! I’m the Regular Investor. I’m just a normal guy who is trying to: get rich, retire early, travel the world, etc. Unlike other blogs out there; I don’t have clearly defined goals, and I don’t have clearly defined investment strategies. I try to budget and spend the least amount possible, invest in some index funds, some dividend stocks, some speculative stock investing, and I like to tinker in other fun ways of making money (mining bitcoins, selling electronics, real estate, online web programs, etc). I’ll be writing about all of these things and hopefully showing all of you how to get rich.
For the last year or two I have been thinking about starting this blog to share my learnings with other regular guys, and to create a record of everything I’m doing (right and wrong) so that I have something to look back upon. I think we could all use a second (or third) set of eyes on our finances, so feel free to comment on mine, and I’d be more than happy to provide you with my feedback if you request it.
A little bit about me: I’m a 31 year old regular guy who lives in Chicago. I’m unmarried and have no kids, though I am in a relationship with a wonderful woman. I grew up in the Chicagoland area and generally love the Midwest. I had a great family who instilled a good financial sense in me. Now that I’m an adult, by day I work for a well-known beauty company, by night (and sometimes by day) I look into investments, buy/sell stocks, read blogs, and just try to figure out what I’m doing.
If you have any questions about me, about my investments, about anything just ask!
